GETTING READY PAJAMAS FOR THE BRIDE & BRIDESMAIDS

In the whirlwind of wedding preparations, there's a quiet and intimate moment often overlooked in the grand scheme of things – getting ready. The hours leading up to walking down the aisle are filled with laughter, shared stories, and the anticipation of the beautiful day ahead. Elevate this precious time with a touch of comfort and style by considering the often underestimated detail – getting ready pajamas. Whether it's silky robes, monogrammed button-down shirts, or matching sets, you really cannot go wrong. The one detail to keep in mind would be choosing a style that can easily be removed without ruining the hours of hair and makeup efforts. I have gathered an array of options to fit any style and budget.

For my own wedding, I opted for this beautiful bird and floral applique robe! The robe did come with a satin slip dress; however, I knew I would be busy setting up, playing with my niece, and walking around on the morning of my wedding and we had a rehearsal with our pastor. Since this was the case, I wanted to find a dress underneath that was both comfortable and appropriate :) I swapped the satin dress for this white activewear option from Amazon. It has built-in shorts, was extremely comfortable, and I have gotten plenty of wear out of it since my big day. It also had built-in padding- which is something to think about if you have an open-back dress, since you want to avoid any bra lines on your skin when you change into your dress! Overall, I was so happy with my choice, and since the robe is so high quality and detailed, it is something I could pass on to others in the family too if anyone is interested!

Gifting your crew their “getting ready” outfits is a great way to show your appreciation for their time and financial commitment to supporting you on your journey to becoming a Mrs. I had a few criteria when searching for my bridesmaids’ attire:

  1. I wanted something that could easily be unbuttoned to not risk messing up their freshly done hair or makeup when getting dressed

  2. I wanted something they would wear after my big day that was not branded with the word “bridesmaid”

  3. I wanted a style that fit my color scheme and budget

I ended up choosing these soft satin pajama dresses that matched all of my criteria, and I actually owned it myself from prior to engagement so I could attest to their comfort and quality. I ended up purchasing them on a major sale, and snagged them for $10 each! Link to the satin pajama dress here

I personally gifted them to my crew as part of their “bridesmaid proposal boxes” along with their slippers and some other goodies. They would also make a great gift at the bachelorette or the morning of the wedding!
